Down duvets and down pillows are high quality products - many satisfied customers enjoy its comfort and softness. However, only few know where down comes from and how it is produced. That’s why Paradies makes a down and feather promise.

Animals kept in humane conditions appropriate for their species
Paradies only uses European down and feathers without live plucking. The animal welfare standards are strictly adhered to and monitored; the animals receive veterinary care.

Premium new goods
Paradies only uses premium new down and feathers in accordance with EN 12934. Before processing, the filling material is fully treated: It is washed, sterilised, and steamed at a minimum of 120–130° for 30 minutes. This way, the filling complies with the European standard EN 12935.

SuperClean Standard
Paradies’ own, additional SuperClean Standard encompasses further treatment steps so as to guarantee optimal cleanliness of the down and feathers: haze value of at least 500 mm (instead of EN Standard 300 mm), oxygen count of < 6.4 (instead of EN Standard < 20).

Oeko-Tex Standard
The filling material delivered to Paradies GmbH are subject to stringent hazardous substance checks and comply with Oeko-Tex’s Standard 100 Class 1 for items for babies and infants. Paradies’ own, even more strict purchasing conditions in terms of the hazardous substance thresholds guarantee quality superior even to the Standard 100 by Oeko-Tex.
