A brand with heart

Deeply rooted in the Lower Rhine region to thrive and spread all over the world

Over 150 years ago, Wilhelm Kremers, our great-great-grandfather, founded a wadding and quilt factory in Neukirchen-Vluyn in the Lower Rhine region, not far from Düsseldorf. The company thrived on the invigorating countryside and the commitment of people renowned for their industriousness and thirst for knowledge, gradually expanding and finally emerging as one of Europe´s leading manufacturers of bedding products.

Right from the start, considerable importance was attached to producing high-quality wares to promote healthy, restorative sleep and enhance  people´s standard of living . The history of Kremers-Paradies bedding in Germany is studded with countless pioneering feats. These range from the development  of the first quilts to be stuffed with sheep´s wool to the mass production of down-filled duvets. In the 1960s, another crucial milestone was reached when the Paradies plant invented the first easy-care, washable continental quilt / comforter filled with polyester fibres.

And as early as 1954, Paradies sleeping bags from the flatlands of the Lower Rhine accompanied expeditions to the dizzy heights of the far-off Himalayas.

Since the end of the Sixties, the fourth generation of the Kremers family has been resolutely investing in the promotion of the Paradies brand while creating the foundations for the excellent brand awareness that exists today. In this way, the long tradition of the company´s Lower Rhine roots - which the founder always nurtured - stands for real quality and unrivalled sleeping comfort.
